As Head of Science, you will lead the department across Key Stages 3 and 4, driving standards of teaching, learning and progress throughout the subject area. You will support and develop staff, oversee curriculum planning and ensure students receive engaging and challenging Science lessons that inspire a love of the subject.

This role would suit an experienced Head of Science or a strong classroom practitioner looking to take the next step into middle leadership.

Job Role:

• Leading and managing the Science department across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Driving high standards of teaching, learning and student achievement
• Supporting and developing teachers within the department
• Planning and implementing an engaging and ambitious Science curriculum
• Monitoring progress and using data to support improvement strategies
• Promoting high expectations and positive behaviour within the department
• Supporting whole-school improvement initiatives and leadership priorities
• Ensuring effective use of specialist facilities and resources
