Role Overview We are recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Lambeth (SW2), supporting pupils with very severe autism and complex needs.
This role is suited to a calm, resilient, and nurturing SEN TA who is confident working with high‑needs pupils, including personal care, and who understands the importance of consistency, structure, and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and in‑class support for pupils with severe autism and complex needs
• Support pupils with personal care, ensuring dignity and safeguarding at all times
• Follow EHCPs and individual support plans
• Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the SEN team

Requirements

• Proven experience supporting children with severe autism / high SEN needs
• Comfortable with personal care
• Experience within a primary school or SEN setting
• Calm, patient, and reliable approach
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
