About the Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced School Safeguarding Officer to join a well-established school in Reading. You will play a key role in supporting the welfare and safeguarding of pupils, working closely with the DSL and wider school team.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a first point of contact for safeguarding concerns
- Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Maintain accurate safeguarding and welfare records
- Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies
- Assist with attendance and behaviour monitoring
- Previous safeguarding experience within a school or similar setting
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and legislation
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
