Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant – Lambeth
Start Date: ASAP or September 2026
Pay: £545 per week
Location: Lambeth, South London
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
We are working with a high‑performing primary school in Lambeth that is seeking a Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team either immediately or from September.

The Role
  • Supporting Year 2 pupils with Special Educational Needs, with a particular focus on Autism
    • Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning, behaviour and emotional regulation
    • Implementing structured support strategies under the guidance of the class teacher and SEN team
    • Contributing to a calm, purposeful and academically focused classroom environment
    • Supporting pupils to achieve high expectations in learning and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has previous experience supporting children with Autism (school-based preferred)
    • Is academically bright, articulate and confident when working with children
    • Thrives in a high-expectations environment where standards of behaviour, conduct and learning are consistently high
    • Is proactive, resilient and able to take initiative
    • Communicates clearly and professionally with staff and pupils
    • Has a genuine passion for education and inclusive learning
