About the Role:As a Lead Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in providing high-level analytical support for both short and long-term workforce projects. From internal reporting for executive boards to external reporting on regional and national levels, your expertise will guide decision-making at every level. You'll lead a talented team, ensuring the continuous enhancement of data quality and the development of innovative workforce information provision.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with organisational leaders and project leads to advance workforce development plans through expert analysis and proactive dialogue.
- Conduct ongoing research into workforce information, applying insights to enhance analysis methodologies and support information developments.
- Tackle highly complex statistical and information challenges, presenting clear recommendations and considerations to stakeholders.
- Utilise advanced modelling and forecasting techniques to predict future trends and demands, informing strategic decision-making.
- Streamline reporting processes and enhance data visualization for improved understanding and efficiency.
- Lead audits of data quality and develop methodologies to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Prepare and deliver workforce-related reports and returns as required by NHS organisations.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including HR professionals, line managers, and external agencies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the development of tools to enhance efficiency and automation.
Requirements:- Degree level education or equivalent, with in-depth knowledge of information-related fields.
- Extensive experience in advanced data analysis, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in relational database management, data extraction, manipulation, and presentation.
- Proficiency in NHS data definitions, terminology, and reporting processes.
- Experience with workforce metrics and reporting for local and national requirements.
- Strong understanding of NHS workforce challenges and implications.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Previous experience managing and leading staff is essential.
- Familiarity with ESR or similar systems is highly desirable.
