As a Year 6 ECT, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparing students for the transition to secondary school. Working closely with experienced teachers, the Year 6 ECT will share the timetable and collaborate to deliver engaging and enriching lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Year 6.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and delivering lessons tailored to the needs of Year 6 students, with a focus on core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Foundation subjects.
  • Provide targeted support to students, including one-on-one assistance and small group interventions, to ensure every child reaches their full potential.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to assess student progress, track attainment, and implement strategies to address areas for improvement.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities as part of the ECT induction process, supported by experienced educators within the school.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently undergoing Initial Teacher Training (ITT) with an expected completion date by September 2024.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
