The Role
A secondary school and post-16 setting in Birmingham is seeking a knowledgeable and versatile Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a supply basis.
The role involves teaching Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ confidence, problem-solving skills, and mathematical understanding. In addition to traditional Maths teaching, you will be responsible for delivering and assessing Mathematics units within the BTEC Engineering curriculum, ensuring learners are well-prepared for both coursework and examinations.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to support student achievement across a range of qualifications, including GCSE, A-Level, and vocational programmes.
 
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
  • Hold QTS or be an ECT
    • Have experience teaching Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
    • Be confident delivering and marking BTEC Engineering Maths units
    • Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics
    • Possess excellent classroom management and organisational skills
    • Ideally have experience or qualifications relating to Further Maths
