Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Manchester - 40K 

THE CLIENT:

I am currently representing an excellent HVAC & Mechanical specialist who are currently on the lookout for a mobile electrical maintenance engineer to join a growing team within Manchester and the North West region due to growth and expansion of the company (currently stand at circa 40 engineers). They have been established for over 45 years and work across prestigious MOD & MOJ contracts across the UK.

THE JOB:

Working hours: Monday – Friday 08.00 – 16.30 – 40 hour week

Area of Coverage Manchester North West (sometimes further afield)

• PPMs and reactive maintenance
• Emergency light testing
• Installation works including; lighting, power distribution, containment, earthing, and sub-mains
• Maintenance works including planned works, Inspection, testing, and certification of installations
• Installation of plantroom systems including small power and control wiring
• Analyse faults, rectify and ensure the correct operation of electrical equipment
• Liaising with other trades, clients, and stakeholders
• Compliance & statutory reports in line with regulations and best practice.
• To ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
• Must have clean DBS & enhanced and happy working within prison environment.

Requirements:

• 18th Edition
• 2391 (desirable)
• JIB card preferred
• Previous experience of building services and appreciation of mechanical services
• Must have proven fault-finding & diagnostic skills

Salary and Package:

• £38,000 - £40,000 salary
• Van and fuel card (Private Use Available)
• 30 mins EW travel (if travel is within half an hour to site this is paid)
