An exciting opportunity is on offer for an Architect to join an established practice of Architects and Historic Building Consultants. This practice-based in a rural area of Somerset, North of Glastonbury has extensive experience in Conservation plus the repair of Historic Buildings
This practice has recently purchased the office next to them with a commitment to doubling the size of the office over the next 3 years. They currently have 18 members of staff.

As the Architect, you will find yourself working on your own and as part of a team. Working closely with clients to make sure you understand their project needs and deliver on time. Previous experience of running and project managing projects is expected.
Keeping within financial budgets and deadlines, producing detailed workings, drawings and specifications, specifying the nature and quality of materials required and preparing tender applications and presentations.
Salary: £28,000-£40,000 DOE
The Job: Architect
Managing and running a variety of projects at the same time
Preparing designs for construction/building work
Manage and negotiate architectural and construction contracts
Working on significant conservation and historic projects in the South West
Obtain tenders and agree on contracts with clients
Maintain detailed knowledge of multiple projects
Create and organise technical information
The Candidate: Senior Architect
RIBA, ideally conservation accredited or MA/MSc in Conservation
Good design and technical skills
Previous experience of running projects with support
A passion / interest in Conservation
Good communicational skills and previous team management skills
Due to the office location having a drivers license and being a car owner is needed
