Teaching Assistant wanted to support small groups of students at fantastic Birmingham Secondary School. We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to provide classroom support to students with additional needs. You will need to have previous experience supporting students with special educational needs, ideally within a mainstream setting. This brilliant school are determined to ensure that no child is left behind!
As a Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with the SENCO in order to make sure that every child is given the support that they deserve. You will be providing academic support in lessons and some behaviour management may be required. This school is offering a long term or permanent opportunity for the right person, as they believe that consistency is of the upmost importance for their students.
- Supporting SEND students within mainstream classes
- Providing additional support for Teaching staff
- Providing 1-2-1 and small group intervention support
- Breaking down barriers to education, and helping learners to reengage with lessons
