Social Workers - Family Help NEW TEAMS
About the role:
Following the publication of Dudley's recent inspection report, the Council is accelerating its improvement programme and investing significantly in Children's Services. Inspectors recognised the Council's improvement plans as credible, and we are now looking for passionate and committed professionals to help drive that progress forward.
To support service improvement and the delivery of the Families First Programme and wider national reforms, the Council is establishing two additional teams to work alongside existing services during a crucial period of transformation.
These roles are available for an initial 3-month period, with the opportunity to make a genuine impact at a pivotal time for the service.

You will be based centrally at Cable Plaza, Dudley Waterfront but the Family Help service is a locality-based model. Teams working closely alongside Dudley’s 5 Family Hubs who provide early support to families through their links with local partners. As the Family Help service continues to develop, improved relationships between Family Help practitioners and local partners will enable more families to be supported earlier when problems and difficulties are easier to address.

- A degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Registered with Social Work England
- At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities
- Completed relevant post-qualifying training
- Enhanced DBS check
- Excellent communication and written skills
