An exciting opportunity has become available for a Hire Manager to come onboard a well-established Rental Company, who operate within the lifting industry. Based out of the Head Office in Bristol, you will head up the hire department, overseeing a busy hire fleet, meeting customer service objectives and maximising the effective use of systems, assets and personnel to achieve or exceed budgeted income and profit.
This role would ideally suit a strong minded, natural leader who will have a real influence on how the division is run. You’ll become an integral part of the team, ensuring all enquiries are followed up and customer relationships are maintained.
Responsibilities of the Role:
• Processing enquiries and generating hire quotes • Maintaining servicing and keeping detailed records • Procuring spare parts and labour as and when needed • Oversee a small team of service engineers and subcontractors • Liaise with the Sales Manager • Attend site visits as and when required with the aim to maintain customer relationships • Manage the costs, working within budget and ensuring profitability is being pushed at all times
Requirements of Role:
• Strong leadership skills • Experience working within the Plant Hire or Crane Hire industries • Previous experience within a Hire Manager, Hire Desk Manager, or Operational role • Must be commercially aware and hold good operational skills • Must be pro-active in your approach
