We’re looking for an Employment, Volunteering and Training Skills Specialist to join a new Volunteering, Skills and Employability team in London.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with people and helping them overcome barriers, build confidence and move towards employment, volunteering or further training.

- Support individuals to identify their strengths, goals and career aspirations.
- Provide advice and guidance around training, volunteering and employment opportunities.
- Help people overcome barriers to employment and progression.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and residents, including those facing challenging circumstances.
- Develop partnerships with employers, training providers, businesses and community organisations.
- Create opportunities that improve skills, confidence and employability.
- Attend workshops, events and community initiatives.
- Work with local partners to increase participation and engagement.
- What we're looking for
You'll have experience in community engagement, employability, volunteering, employer engagement, skills brokerage or a related area.
You'll also be:
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable supporting people from diverse backgrounds.
- Able to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
- Proactive and confident in building relationships with external partners.
- Passionate about helping people improve their skills, confidence and prospects.
- Resilient and self-motivated, with the ability to work with people facing unemployment or other barriers to progression.
