Neighbourhoods & Communities Manager
Location: West London
Rate: £300 per day Umbrella – negotiable depending on experience
Contract: 3 months ongoing
Working Pattern: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Working Arrangement: Office-based, 5 days per week

Vox Consultants are currently recruiting for an experienced Neighbourhoods & Communities Manager to join a London Local Authority on a temporary basis.

The Council has approximately 12,000 tenanted homes, with this role responsible for leading a team overseeing service delivery to around 2,000 residents.
As Neighbourhoods & Communities Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to a newly formed team of Neighbourhoods & Communities Officers and a Coordinator.
You will lead the delivery of a first-rate tenancy and neighbourhood management service, ensuring residents receive a responsive, supportive and resident-focused service.
You will be responsible for ensuring that fire safety, anti-social behaviour and estate management are managed effectively and in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
You will also play a key role in shaping and improving service delivery, driving innovation and ensuring compliance with the Regulatory Standards set by the Housing Regulator, supporting the Council's ambition to work towards a C1 rating.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Neighbourhoods & Communities team.
    • Lead and motivate a team of Neighbourhoods & Communities Officers and a Coordinator.
    • Oversee the effective delivery of tenancy and neighbourhood management services.
    • Ensure effective management of anti-social behaviour, fire safety and estate management.
    • Drive service improvement, modernisation and innovation.
    • Ensure compliance with housing legislation, regulatory standards, policies and procedures.
    • Monitor and manage team performance, taking appropriate action where improvements are required.
    • Act as a subject matter expert on neighbourhood and tenancy management.
    • Support and develop staff to deliver high-quality services.
    • Work closely with residents and stakeholders to improve resident satisfaction, quality of life and opportunities.
    • Support the development of safe, sustainable and thriving communities.
    • Lead and implement change across the service.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in neighbourhood and/or tenancy management within a local authority or social housing environment.
    • Strong experience managing and leading housing teams.
    • Excellent knowledge of tenancy management, anti-social behaviour and estate management.
    • Understanding of housing regulation and the Regulatory Standards set by the Housing Regulator.
    • Experience of delivering service improvement, change and modernisation.
    • Strong leadership, performance management and people development skills.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • A strong commitment to resident-focused service delivery.
