  Conservationists manage the quality of specific forests, parks and other natural resources. They protect the wildlife habitat, biodiversity, scenic value, and other unique attributes of preserves and conservation lands. Conservation scientists perform field work. They promote awareness of and understanding about the natural environment.

  Tasks required include:

  • Promotes and implements local and national biodiversity action plans, particularly with regard to threatened species and habitats.

  • Prepares applications for funding to other organisations, and assessing applications for funding from other organisations.
