Computer games designers design core features of video games. They specify in innovative game and role-play mechanics, story lines, and character biographies. They also create and maintain design documentation. Additionally, they guide and collaborate with production staff to produce games as designed.

Tasks required include:

• Examines existing software and determines requirements for new/modified systems in the light of business needs.
• Undertakes feasibility study to design software solutions.
• Writes and codes individual programs according to specifications.
