Are you an experienced Planner, Scheduler or Coordinator who enjoys keeping things organised, solving problems and making sure everything runs to plan?

We’re recruiting for a Service Planner to join a friendly and supportive team in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established engineering and service operation, where you’ll play a key role in coordinating field-based engineers, managing service schedules and ensuring customers receive an excellent level of service.

If you thrive in a busy environment, enjoy juggling multiple priorities and have a natural talent for organisation, we’d love to hear from you!

As Service Planner, you’ll be responsible for coordinating engineer schedules, organising customer visits and ensuring service activities are completed efficiently and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and scheduling field service engineers’ workloads, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.

    • Coordinating service visits with customers, arranging appointments and keeping everyone informed of progress.

    • Managing work orders from initial booking through to completion, monitoring progress and resolving scheduling issues.

    • Responding to changing priorities, adapting schedules and finding practical solutions to minimise disruption.

    • Supporting engineers by ensuring they have the necessary job information, documentation and equipment.

    • Maintaining accurate records across business systems, including SAP and SPIRIT.

    • Working collaboratively with customers, engineers and internal departments to deliver a smooth and efficient service.

    • Providing excellent customer service, handling enquiries professionally and keeping customers updated.

We’re keen to hear from candidates with experience in planning, scheduling, logistics coordination or service administration.

You could currently be working as a:

  • Service Planner or Service Scheduler

    • Engineering Coordinator or Maintenance Planner

    • Field Service Coordinator

    • Operations Coordinator or Planning Administrator

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities.

    • Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with customers, engineers and colleagues.

    • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to react quickly when plans change.

    • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP

    • A customer-focused attitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience using SAP or similar planning systems, or working within engineering, technical services or logistics, would be advantageous. However, we’re happy to consider candidates with transferable planning and coordination experience.
