Boiler Engineer / Steam Plant EngineerTipton | £50,000 | Rotating ShiftsThe OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Boiler Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business in Tipton. You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of the site's boiler and utility systems, supporting overall plant performance and uptime.

Shift PatternMonday to Friday Rotating Shifts:

• 5:00am – 2:00pm
  
  
• 1:00pm – 10:00pm
  
  
• 9:00pm – 6:00am
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain steam boilers and associated plant equipment
  
  
• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities
  
  
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  
  
• Ensure compliance with boiler safety regulations and statutory requirements
  
  
• Complete maintenance records and work orders through the CMMS system
  
  
• Support plant shutdowns, inspections, and improvement projects
  
  
• Monitor utility performance and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
  
  
• Follow Permit to Work procedures and site safety standards
  
  

About You

• Previous experience as a Boiler Engineer, Steam Plant Engineer, Utilities Engineer, Boiler House Operator, or similar
  
  
• Strong knowledge of steam generation and boiler systems
  
  
• Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
  
  
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  
  
• Understanding of boiler compliance, safety standards, and statutory inspections
  
  

Desirable

• BOAS qualification
  
  
• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
  
  
• Experience with water treatment and site utilities
