Experienced Structural Fabricator Required | Full Time | Long term opportunity

 

A well-established engineering and manufacturing company is looking for a skilled Structural Fabricator to join their busy workshop team on a temp to perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fabricator seeking stable work, strong hourly pay and a genuine route into a permanent position.

 

Pay Rate

£17.50 per hour

Shift Options

Day Shift:

• Monday to Friday 
  
  
• 7am – 3pm 
  
  

Afternoon / Late Shift:

• Monday to Thursday: 2pm – 10:30pm 
  
  
• Friday: 1pm – 7pm 
  
  

 

The Role

• Fabricating structural steel components from engineering drawings 
  
  
• Measuring, marking out, cutting and assembling steel sections 
  
  
• Working with beams, frames, columns and bespoke fabrications 
  
  
• Using a range of fabrication tools and workshop equipment 
  
  
• Tack welding where required 
  
  
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure accuracy and finish standards 
  
  
• Working to production deadlines in a busy fabrication environment 
  
  
• Maintaining a clean and safe workspace at all times 
  
  

 

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Structural Fabricator, Steel Fabricator or similar role 
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings 
  
  
• Experience working with structural steel or heavy fabrication 
  
  
• Competent with fabrication tools and workshop processes 
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and quality 
  
  
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
