CNC Operator – Drilling, Tapping & Milling

 

Location: Dudley
Pay: £13 – £15 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Rotating shifts
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

 

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Operator to join a busy manufacturing business based in Dudley.

This is a hands-on CNC machining role working with drilling, tapping and milling operations. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience operating CNC machinery and be confident working within a busy manufacturing environment.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Operator, CNC Miller or Machine Operator looking for a long-term position with the opportunity to become permanent.

 

The Role

As a CNC Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating CNC machinery for drilling, tapping and milling
  
  
• Loading and unloading components
  
  
• Setting and operating machines to produce components to specification
  
  
• Carrying out basic machine adjustments where required
  
  
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
  
  
• Using measuring equipment to check finished components
  
  
• Carrying out quality checks throughout the production process
  
  
• Ensuring components meet required tolerances and specifications
  
  
• Changing tooling and carrying out basic tool changes
  
  
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  
  
• Following production, quality and health & safety procedures
  
  

 

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a CNC Operator, CNC Miller or Machine Operator
  
  
• Experience with drilling, tapping and milling
  
  
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  
  
• The ability to read and understand engineering drawings
  
  
• Experience using measuring equipment
  
  
• Good attention to detail and quality awareness
  
  
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
  
  
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  
  
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts
