As Procurement Officer, you will take a lead role in delivering high-quality, compliant procurement activity, including:
- Leading complex tendering exercises from end to end
- Managing supplier relationships and driving value for money
- Developing and reviewing procurement strategies, policies, and procedures
- Supporting a diverse procurement pipeline, including supplier engagement, tender documentation, clarifications, and evaluation processes
- Embedding robust governance, compliance, and risk management practices
- Driving process improvements in line with evolving legislation and policy
- Supporting contract management processes, including use of e-tendering systems
- Maintaining the Contract Register and contributing to procurement reporting and spend analysis
- Providing expert advice and training to internal stakeholders
- Assisting with FOI requests and procurement-related website content
About You
We’re keen to speak with candidates who:
- Have proven experience in public sector procurement
- Are confident managing complex tenders and stakeholder relationships
- Have strong knowledge of UK procurement legislation and best practice
- Are either CIPS qualified, currently studying, or willing to work towards it
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
Working Pattern
- Flexible: Full-time (37 hours) or Part-time (29.6 hours over 4–5 days)
- Hybrid working model
- Minimum 2 days per week on-site in Warwickshire
Rate
- Circa £22 per hour
