Receptionist / Administrator – Adult Social Care (Learning Disabilities)
 

Location: West London
Pay Rate: £21.52 PAYE | £27.35 Umbrella
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:45am – 4:30pm 
Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Long-Term Opportunity)

We are urgently recruiting for a Receptionist / Administrator (Business Support Officer) to join a newly developed Education, Health & Wellbeing Hub supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs with a local authority

This is a key front-facing role within a busy centre, ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a professional, compassionate approach to working with vulnerable adults, families, and professionals. This is an ongoing position with long-term potential.

The Role
You will act as the first point of contact for the centre, ensuring a welcoming, safe, and efficient reception and administrative service.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing the front desk, greeting visitors and directing them appropriately
    • Handling incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries
    • Coordinating and updating transport arrangements for residents
    • Maintaining accurate records, registers, and usage data
    • Supporting communication with families, carers, and external professionals
    • Monitoring health & safety logs, reporting repairs, and conducting daily checks
    • Managing post, supplies, and general office organisation
    • Supporting events, meetings, and centre communications
About You
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment:
  • Previous experience as a Receptionist, Administrator, or Front Office professional
    • Strong customer service skills with a professional and empathetic manner
    • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
    • Confident using Microsoft Office and office systems
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Comfortable working within a social care or public sector setting
A genuine interest in supporting adults with additional needs is highly desirable.

Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months (essential)
    • Willingness to work occasional weekends on a rota basis (with days off in lieu)
