JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 6+
LOCATION: Leeds
SALARY: Circa £75,000 (DOE)
THE ROLE:
The appointed Employment Solicitor will join a well established and expanding team handling a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters on behalf of individuals, professional associations and trade union clients across a variety of sectors. The role will involve managing your own caseload of employment tribunal litigation, settlement agreement matters, industrial relations issues and group litigation work, whilst also developing strong long-term client relationships. You will have the opportunity to work on high quality and often complex matters spanning sectors including healthcare, education, finance, transport, sport and the creative industries. The position offers genuine autonomy alongside strong supervision, mentoring and ongoing career development within a highly collaborative team environment. Flexible and hybrid working options are available, with the firm committed to supporting work-life balance and individual working preferences.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are sought from qualified Solicitors with proven experience handling employment law matters and the ability to manage their own caseload effectively. The successful candidate will possess strong technical employment law knowledge together with excellent communication and client care skills. You will be confident advising clients at all levels, capable of managing sensitive and often complex matters with professionalism and empathy and demonstrate a proactive and organised approach to your work. Candidates with both claimant and respondent experience will be considered. The ideal individual will be keen to contribute to the continued growth of the team and take an active role in client relationship management, networking and business development activities where appropriate.
