Job Description

Corporate Solicitor, 1+ PQE, London, £85,000–£90,000 DOE. Join a dynamic and ambitious corporate team within a highly regarded Legal 500 firm, where you will have the opportunity to work on high-quality, complex transactions, take genuine responsibility from an early stage, and benefit from excellent long-term career progression. To apply or to register your interest, please contact Gemma Jones on 0207 183 8586 or email gemma.jones@enllegal.co.uk with your CV – JOB REF: 215305335

THE ROLE:
You will join a broad and varied corporate practice, advising on a diverse range of matters including M&A, corporate finance, venture capital, fundraising, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and general corporate work. You will act for an interesting and varied client base, ranging from ambitious start-ups and growing businesses through to established international corporate entities, giving you excellent exposure to high-quality transactions and the opportunity to develop strong, long-term client relationships.

You will have genuine day-to-day responsibility for your matters, with the opportunity to draft and negotiate key transaction documents, manage transactions from start to finish and coordinate junior lawyers and colleagues across different teams and offices. You will provide clear, commercially focused advice and play an active role in delivering an excellent client service.

As your career develops, you will have opportunities to supervise and mentor junior lawyers, as well as contribute to marketing and business development initiatives. You will be encouraged to play a meaningful role in the continued growth and success of the corporate practice, making this an excellent opportunity for a driven lawyer looking to take the next step in their career.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with 1+ years’ PQE, ideally gained within a City or strong regional firm, with a solid corporate background and strong M&A experience. You will have excellent drafting skills, commercial judgement, and the confidence to take ownership of transactions, alongside strong communication and client management skills. A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach is essential, with a commercial mindset and enthusiasm for developing both your own practice and the wider team. An interest in venture capital, technology or life sciences would be advantageous, as would confidence using AI to enhance the efficient delivery of legal work.

THE FIRM:
This is an ambitious and progressive firm with a growing London presence and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, commercially focused legal advice. The Corporate team acts for an exciting mix of entrepreneurial businesses, established corporates, management teams and investors, giving lawyers genuine responsibility, excellent exposure, and the opportunity to build strong, lasting client relationships.

THE PACKAGE:
A competitive salary is complemented by an excellent benefits package, including a generous pension with salary sacrifice options, five weeks’ annual leave with the flexibility to buy or sell additional days, and an additional day for weddings, civil partnerships, religious holidays, or house moves. The package also includes enhanced family-forming leave, income protection, life assurance, and access to a confidential employee assistance programme.
