NON-CONTENTIOUS IP LEGAL DIRECTOR – BIRMINGHAM

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Non-Contentious Intellectual Property lawyer to join the Birmingham office of a highly regarded international law firm.
This is a senior appointment for an ambitious IP specialist looking to take the next step in their career within a growing and well-established international practice.
The successful Non-Contentious IP Legal Director will advise a broad range of national and international clients on complex IP matters, including trade marks, copyright, designs, licensing, commercialisation and IP portfolio management.
You will work closely with colleagues across the wider commercial, technology and corporate teams, providing strategic IP advice as part of wider commercial transactions and projects.
The Candidate
The firm is seeking a commercially minded IP lawyer with a strong background in non-contentious intellectual property. You will ideally have experience gained within a recognised private practice environment and be confident advising sophisticated clients on their IP requirements.
You will need to demonstrate:
Strong experience in non-contentious IP matters.
Excellent knowledge of trade marks, copyright, designs, licensing and IP commercialisation.
The ability to advise clients on strategic IP issues and portfolio management.
A strong commercial approach and understanding of clients' businesses.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
The confidence to develop client relationships and contribute to business development.
Experience of working collaboratively across different practice areas.
The ambition to play a senior role within a growing international practice.
