Job Description
Assistant Manager / Relief Store Manager – Self Storage
Location: Bracknell (base) covering Reading, Basingstoke & High Wycombe, with quarterly travel to Bristol and Kingston for store audits
Salary: Up to £32,500
Hours: 40 hours per week
The successful candidate will be confident leading teams, adapting quickly to different environments, and building strong customer relationships while converting warm leads into sales.

- Monday–Friday: 8:00am–6:00pm
- Weekend rota (1 in 3):
- Saturdays: 10:00am–5:00pm
- Sundays: 10:00am–4:00pm

- Take full operational responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager
- Drive sales performance, manage customer enquiries, and maximise conversion rates from warm leads
- Build strong relationships with customers and deliver excellent service standards
- Lead, coach, and support team members to achieve operational and sales targets
- Ensure compliance with financial, operational, and Health & Safety procedures
- Conduct regular store audits, including quarterly visits to Bristol and Kingston
- Monitor store performance, reporting, and local market activity
- Maintain excellent store presentation and operational efficiency
- Adapt quickly to different teams and add value across multiple locations
- Support ad hoc projects and business initiatives as required
- Previous management or supervisory experience with the ability to deputise when required
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail, particularly around compliance and audit processes
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and maximise sales opportunities
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively across different teams
- Full UK driving licence essential and willingness to travel between sites
- Business-use vehicle insurance required (salary reflects this requirement)
