We are looking for a meticulous Inspection Technician to join a precision engineering team in Redhill. You will be responsible for ensuring that high-precision components, machined via CNC Lathes and Milling centers, meet the comanies rigorous quality standards.
This is a dynamic role for someone who takes pride in accuracy. While the immediate focus is on part inspection, they are looking for a candidate with the ambition to grow. As you settle in, there is a clear path to take on Quality Control (QC) responsibilities and play a key role in their ISO compliance and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities
- First-Off & Final Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of machined components using a variety of manual and digital measuring equipment.
- Technical Verification: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
- Equipment Calibration: Maintain and calibrate measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs).
- Non-Conformance Reporting: Identify, document, and report any defects or deviations from specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with CNC Programmers and Operators to troubleshoot quality issues during the production run.
Future Growth Opportunities
- ISO Involvement: Assist in maintaining our Quality Management System (QMS) and preparing for ISO audits.
- Quality Management: Opportunity to evolve into a Quality role, overseeing broader process improvements and supplier quality.
- Reporting: Developing and analyzing quality KPIs to drive shop-floor efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Proven background in an inspection or quality-controlled engineering environment (preferably CNC machining).
- Technical Skills: Proficient with hand-held measuring tools; experience with 3D Measuring Machines (CMM) or similar automated inspection tech is a distinct advantage.
- Attention to Detail: An uncompromising eye for detail and a "right first time" mentality.
- Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical issues to both the workshop team and management.
- Ambition: A desire to learn the administrative and compliance side of engineering (ISO standards).
