Location: Worcester (Blackpole)
Pay Rate: £14 per hour
Working Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 07:00 – 16:00
Friday: 07:00 – 12:00

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Beam Saw Operator to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Worcester (Blackpole). This is a great opportunity for a skilled operator looking for a long-term position with potential to go permanent.
About the Company: The company specialises in manufacturing high-quality, bespoke worktops and work surfaces for a range of industries including engineering, manufacturing, laboratories, and electronics.
Their products include:

• Wooden / hardwood worktops
• Steel and stainless steel worktops
• Anti-static (ESD) worktops for electronics
• Laminate and compact worktops
• Heavy-duty surfaces for engineering and manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a beam saw to cut materials accurately to specification
• Setting up and adjusting the beam saw machinery for different jobs
• Reading and interpreting cutting lists and technical drawings
• Ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality in all cuts
• Loading materials onto machinery and ensuring correct positioning
• Wrapping finished products and preparing them for dispatch
• Assisting with general factory duties when required
• Maintaining machinery and keeping the work area clean and safe

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating a beam saw or similar woodworking machinery is essential
• Ability to read technical drawings and cutting specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
