Job Description
On behalf of our client, an international interior design practice that delivers exceptional spaces for luxury developments, we are seeking an experienced Freelance Architectural Technician to support their studio on a remote or hybrid basis, working on high-end hospitality and hotel projects. The successful candidate will provide technical and project delivery support from RIBA Stage 3 through to completion, working closely with the Lead Architect on projects ranging from large hotels to smaller developments.
The role involves producing accurate technical drawing packages, fit-out documentation and specifications, while coordinating with internal teams, consultants and contractors to ensure design quality and project deadlines are met. You will review architectural drawings, identify potential issues, maintain drawing registers, prepare planning documentation, and provide regular project updates. You will also collaborate with the interior design team to recommend suitable materials, support value engineering exercises, and help deliver projects within budget without compromising design intent.
During the construction phase, you will coordinate technical drawings with subcontractors, M&E consultants and other specialists, ensuring design integrity is maintained throughout. Responsibilities also include attending design meetings, supporting site coordination, overseeing installation progress, managing snagging where required, and acting as a key point of contact for clients and contractors alongside the Lead Architect.
Applicants should have strong Revit skills, experience delivering hospitality or hotel projects, and excellent communication and coordination abilities. Experience working to LOD 300 standards is desirable.
If this sounds like it might be a suitable opportunity for you, we would love to hear from you with your CV and portfolio of work.
