SEND Early Years Case Officer (0–14) – Newham
Location: Newham (Hybrid – Office attendance every Wednesday is mandatory)
Rate: £282 per day
Contract: Full-time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Early Years Case Officer (0–14) to join Newham's statutory SEND service.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a caseload of children aged 0–14 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will be responsible for coordinating annual reviews, consultations, and placement decisions, ensuring children receive the appropriate educational provision and support in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
Working closely with families, education settings, health professionals, and partner agencies, you will ensure that each child's needs are accurately identified and that all decisions are person-centred, evidence-based, and legally compliant.

- Make informed, evidence-based placement decisions.
- Work collaboratively with families, education providers, health professionals, and partner agencies.
- Ensure statutory timescales and SEND legislation are met.
- Produce high-quality, legally compliant casework and maintain accurate records.
- Deliver a responsive, child-centred service that achieves positive outcomes.
- Previous experience working within a statutory SEND service.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes.
- Experience managing SEND casework, annual reviews, and consultations.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and case management skills.
- Ability to make clear, defensible decisions while working to statutory deadlines.
