Earlys Years SEND Caseworker - Hertfordshire 
Rate:
£275-£290 per day
Working Arrangements: Full time, Hybrid

Key Responsibilities
  • Managed Early Years statutory SEND casework within a Local Authority setting, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and SEND legislation.
    • Managed complex EHC cases from initial assessment through to EHCP development, review and amendment.
    • Worked collaboratively with parents, early years settings, schools and multi-agency professionals to identify needs and secure appropriate provision.
    • Applied strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory processes to support effective decision-making.
    • Provided guidance and support to junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and assisting with complex casework where required.
    • Managed competing priorities and caseloads effectively, working with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
    • Maintained accurate case records and monitored statutory deadlines to ensure timely progression of cases.
What we are looking for:
  • Minimum 3 years’ Local Authority SEND experience, with strong knowledge of statutory SEND processes.
    • Proven experience managing complex Early Years SEND cases and working across the EHC assessment and review process.
    • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, Children and Families Act 2014 and statutory timescales.
    • Experience working collaboratively with parents, early years providers, schools and multi-agency professionals.
    • Able to work confidently with minimal supervision, prioritising workload and managing competing demands.
