Job Description

Children’s Social Worker – Locality Team
Location: Aylesbury, Locality Wycombe or Amersham
Rate: £40 per hour
Team: Locality Team

Pertemps Social Care are currently recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join a Locality Team in Aylesbury.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of children and families, completing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of children and families within the Locality Team.
    • Undertake assessments and identify children’s needs and risks.
    • Develop and review care plans, ensuring children’s voices and needs are central to decision-making.
    • Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals and other partner agencies.
    • Undertake statutory social work duties in line with relevant legislation and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
    • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
Requirements
  • Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
    • Previous experience working within children’s social care.
    • Experience managing a caseload within a locality, child protection or similar team.
    • Strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with children, families and multi-agency professionals.
