Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Manager, within Mental Health in Adult's Services. 
Please note – it is essential that you have Local Authority Commissioning experience for this role.  
Overview: 
As a commissioning officer within adult social care, you will report to the Head of Strategic Commissioning & Delivery, working on our adults mental health portfolio. 
Your role as a commissioning officer: 

• Lead on the development of a 5 year mental health commissioning strategy and delivery plan, to strengthen the mental health pathway including supported accommodation.  

• Analyse current and future needs, market capacity and spend 

• Take forwards engagement and co production with providers, service users and unpaid carers 

• Propose clear recommendations and next steps for commissioning and procurement 

• Work together with South West London commissioning leads on any joint commissioning opportunities 

• Support with 'business as usual' commissioning activities e.g. responding to FOIs, visiting services, managing contracts.  

Key responsibilities and skills required: 

• Proven experience in adult social care mental health commissioning is essential 

• Responsible in driving forward producing and delivering mental health strategy 

• Use of project management principles, tools and techniques 

• Data analysis and triangulation from a variety of sources  

• Ability to produce clear, high quality reports and presentations to a range of audiences including committee reports 

• Support and lead on commissioning exercises e.g. policy design, strategy development, market engagement 

• Experience of contract and performance management of providers and negotiations  

• The role will be based in South West London with hybrid working of 2-3 days per week within the borough. 

• This is a 3 month contract initially with likely extension, £350-400 per day.
