Job Description A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work within their Autism Resource Provision (ARP). This role involves supporting children with high needs Autism (ASC), helping them to access learning and develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
You will be working as part of a dedicated SEN team in a supportive and well-resourced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with high needs Autism
- Support pupils with communication, sensory regulation, and engagement in learning
- Assist with personal care routines respectfully and professionally
- Follow EHCPs, support plans, and behaviour strategies
- Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
- Promote independence, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing
- Ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Experience supporting children with Autism and complex SEN (preferred)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Confidence supporting pupils with personal care needs
- Strong safeguarding awareness
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
