The RoleAs a PE Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH needs.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes participation, wellbeing, and achievement.
- Build strong relationships with students, supporting both their educational and personal development.
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to engage and motivate learners.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals to support student outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote healthy lifestyles and physical wellbeing.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) β Essential
- Previous experience teaching PE within an SEMH school or alternative provision setting β Essential
- A strong understanding of SEMH needs and trauma-informed practice
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students
- A flexible, resilient, and proactive approach to teaching
- An enhanced Child Workforce DBS
- An enhanced Adult Workforce DBS
- The right to work in the UK
- Relevant teaching qualifications and references covering recent employment
