TEACHING ASSISTANT
This is a Teaching Assistant role with a difference, in this role as well as supporting in the classroom your primary focus will be on supporting students to develop the skills they need for the world of work. - Understanding the needs of students and supporting meaningful education plans.
- Working as part of the leaning support team to impact learning.
- Supporting educational activities both within and beyond the classroom.
- Developing professional relationships based on trust to achieve outcomes.
- Create a plan for student interaction to include learning strategies.
- Provided support to students to gain work experience.
- Building relationships with local employers and training providers.
- Managing the needs to students whilst encouraging their ideas.
- Reporting on data across all aspects of the role.
- Working with employers on placements and supporting student needs.
- Experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
- Track record of making a difference to students in an SEN setting.
- Understanding of the “world of work” school programme.
- Able to work with students with barriers to leaning.
- Understanding, empathy and capacity to empower students to learn.
