It was the second accolade of the 14th annual awards evening for Lisa Thurkettle, MD at Pertemps Network Group, based in Meriden, after she had earlier been awarded Business Leader of the Year.

The presentations took place at the Recruitment and Employment Confederation awards in London, celebrating success and individual achievements across the industry in the last 12 months.

Lisa, who celebrated her wins with a cup of tea, said: “I am truly overwhelmed and incredibly humbled by winning these awards.

“The success of these awards is down to my amazing team and colleagues, who make me look good on a daily basis. Without them, I would not be here and I will never take them for granted.”

Neil Carberry, Chief Executive of the REC, said: “The word frequently used to describe Lisa is ‘trailblazing’. But alongside corporate improvements that build commercial success, she comes across to staff as empathetic, a mentor, humble and supportive – all the characteristics you need to be a winner in recruitment. Congratulations to her on winning the overall award at our ceremony.”

REC’s role is to drive standards and empower recruiters to be brilliant and the annual REC Awards celebrate those that hit and exceed the standards.

In all, 50 individual and 77 company entries were shortlisted across 19 categories. The winners were announced at the REC Awards ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 23 November 2023.
