Pertemps signs up for Matt’s Run 2025

More than 500 people are expected to join a fun-run in Solihull next weekend to support a former local rugby player raising money for Motor Neurone Disease.

Matt Gallagher set up the Matt Gallagher Foundation to help support those with MND after he was diagnosed with the condition in October 2023.

After organising a successful fun run in 2024, the former Coventry, Solihull and Birmingham rugby player is going to a replay with Matt’s Run 2025, supported with a £10,000 donation from Meriden-based Pertemps Network Group.

It will take place at the Old Silhillians Sports Club on April 5 and people are being urged to get their trainers on and take part in the three-kilometre jaunt to raise money for the cause.

Matt’s daughter, Hollie-mae Gallagher, Charity Manager, said: “People were so fantastic last year that we thought we would run it again!

“You can just come and walk round. There is no race. It’s just a lovely walk with lovely people around the site here.”

Tim Jones, Pertemps Head of Marketing and Sponsorship, said: “Matt’s story is inspirational and we really wanted to do all we could to support the cause.

“We hope as many people as possible will join the event to raise money for a cause that has such an immediate and positive impact on those it helps.”

The Matt Gallagher Foundation is not a research-led charity, but one that aims to make a direct, positive impact on those living with MND today, by offering fast support and a large network of contacts who can help in many different ways.
