Latest data from the ONS painted a familiar picture of the UK labour market.

The employment rate stood at close to a record high, and the unemployment rate remains at its lowest since the 1970s. While there are signs of labour market growth softening—with vacancies declining again and employment growth slowing, the labour market remains tight on the whole.
