Electro‑Mechanical Assembler

Location: Yarnton / Oxfordshire Salary: £26,500 Hours: 37.5 per week (flexible working pattern) Type: Permanent, Full‑time

We’re supporting a leading technology manufacturer who is looking for an experienced Electro‑Mechanical Assembler to join their growing production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative, high‑precision products used across entertainment, engineering, medical and scientific industries.

Role Overview

You’ll be responsible for assembling, inspecting and testing electro‑mechanical products to a high standard, working closely with Production and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement and ensure quality throughout the build process.

Working Hours

This is a 37.5‑hour week, with some flexibility around start and finish times. Examples include:


  • 7am–3pm

  • 8am–4pm
During the training period, you’ll need to match the trainer’s hours, so a degree of flexibility is essential. Once trained, you can move to a preferred pattern within the team’s agreed options.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assemble electro‑mechanical units using drawings, instructions and BOMs
  • Diagnose mechanical faults to component level and manage repairs/replacements
  • Support Goods In and Dispatch when required
  • Assist with testing, kit verification, stock counts and packing
  • Provide feedback to engineering teams on build improvements and prototypes
  • Maintain a clean, organised working area
  • Monitor consumables and report low stock
  • Follow correct documentation and quality processes
  • Work safely, independently and as part of a focused team

Skills & Experience Required

  • Mechanical assembly experience (ideal)
  • Electronic or box‑build assembly experience
  • Strong attention to detail and high‑quality workmanship
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, databases)
  • Organised, tidy and committed to continuous improvement
