Yard Operative 

Shifts: Monday - Friday

Location: Cardiff

Hours: 08:00 – 16:00

Pay: £13.00 per hour

We are looking for a Yard Operative to join our client’s team. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role involving the unloading, sorting, moving and storage of materials. On a temporary on-going contract.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Remove plastic storage bags from containers.
  
  
• Empty and safely secure contents in designated storage areas.
  
  
• Move materials into recycling and compactor skips.
  
  
• Sort and store parts in the relevant bins and storage areas.
  
  
• Load and unload containers.
  
  
• Follow all health and safety procedures and site briefings.
  
  
• Report any accidents, incidents and near misses to the relevant personnel.
  
  
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
  
  

 

About You

• Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy loads.
  
  
• Comfortable working outdoors and undertaking manual work.
  
  
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
  
  
• Able to follow instructions and health and safety procedures.
  
  
• Good team-working skills.
  
  
• Forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
  
  
• Full training and site induction provided
