Tool Cribb Worker
Location: Northwood, Isle of Wight
Pay Rate: £13.96 per hour
Shifts: 4 on / 4 off – alternating days and nights
Contract: Temporary – ongoing

 
Pertemps Isle of Wight are currently recruiting for a Tool Cribb Worker on behalf of our established client based in Northwood. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected local employer, supporting their busy production and engineering operations.

The Role 
As a Tool Cribb Worker, you’ll play a key part in keeping production running smoothly by managing and maintaining all tools and equipment used on site. You’ll be responsible for issuing and receiving tools, carrying out inspections, and ensuring the tool crib is safe, organised, and well-stocked at all times.

 
 Main Duties 

•  Issue and return tools, equipment, and consumables to shop floor staff.

•  Maintain accurate records of tool movements and inventory levels.

•  Inspect tools for damage and cleanliness, arranging repairs or replacements where needed.

•  Replenish stock and support ordering of consumables.

•  Keep the tool crib clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.

•  Assist with stock audits and support production teams as required.

 About You 

•  Previous experience in a tool crib, engineering store, or manufacturing environment is advantageous.

•  Good understanding of common engineering tools and equipment.

•  Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

•  Confident using computer systems for logging and inventory control.

•  Flexible approach to working alternating day and night shifts.
