Pertemps Isle of Wight is excited to be recruiting for a Solutionist to join a well-established boat-building manufacturer in East Cowes. This hands-on role is ideal for someone highly dextrous, practical, and confident working with materials and tools in a fast-paced production environment.


Role Overview
A Solutionist plays an essential part in the finishing and problem-solving stages of production. You will carry out detailed hands-on tasks such as cutting, patching, gluing, shaping, and working with CNC machinery to help resolve production challenges and ensure components meet required standards.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision manual tasks including cutting, patchworking, trimming, and gluing
  
  
• Use CNC machinery and hand tools to adjust or repair components
  
  
• Assist in resolving production or assembly issues quickly and accurately
  
  
• Work closely with the production team to maintain high quality standards
  
  
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hand–eye coordination and excellent dexterity
  
  
• Experience in practical or craft-based work (manufacturing, laminating, carpentry, textiles, or similar would be beneficial)
  
  
• Ability to work confidently with tools, adhesives and CNC equipment
  
  
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  
• A proactive and reliable team player

Contract Details

• Start Date: January
  
  
• Duration: Minimum 9 months, with potential extension
  
  
• Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour (starting rate)
  
  
• Hours: Monday–Thursday, daytime shifts
  
  
• Location: East Cowes
