Job Description
Quality Technician
Our well established and forward-thinking client based in the Shropshire Countryside surrounding Much Wenlock is looking for a permanent full time quality technician, as they are at the stage they need to bring a new person due to expansion who can work with the existing Quality Engineering team to support both Supplier, Internal and customer quality. You will be overseeing the quality assurance across UK and international suppliers, leading problem-solving activities (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and manage corrective actions, driving supplier performance, NCRs and root-cause investigations.
In addition, you will be supporting customer meetings, inspections and technical reviews, producing quality KPI reports and monitor defect trends, conducting internal audits and ensure compliance with QMS/EMS requirements, collaborating cross-functionally to improve quality, efficiency and customer experience whilst making sure you are contributing to continuous improvement.

£30,000 - £36,000 Depending on experience

Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in Quality Technician / Quality Inspector / Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (internal auditor status is a bonus)
- Experience generating and managing NCRs
- Strong problem-solving skills using RCA, 5 Whys and Fishbone
- Practical engineering experience (e.g., fabrication, injection moulding, aluminium casting)
- Ability to read technical drawings, including GD&T
- Proficient in inspection methods, gauging and test equipment
- Confident communicating, presenting and influencing stakeholders
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Able to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions
