Multi-Drop Van Driver – Nights

Birmingham, Saltley | £14.00–£16.00 per hour | Temp-to-perm

Pertemps is recruiting Multi-Drop Van Drivers to deliver milk and fresh produce to residential and commercial properties across the Greater Birmingham area.

You will drive a 3.5-tonne flatbed van and work four nights per week on set routes. This is a physically demanding, fast-paced role involving up to 350 drops per night following an initial training period of up to three months.

Working Hours

• Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
  
  
• 9:00pm–7:00am
  
  
• Four night shifts per week
  
  

Pay and Progression

• £14.00–£16.00 per hour, depending on experience
  
  
• The premium rate may be available to candidates with previous experience in the same type of high-volume, multi-drop milk delivery work
  
  
• Candidates without direct milk delivery experience will be considered at the standard rate
  
  
• Temp-to-perm opportunity for candidates who demonstrate the required performance, reliability and commitment
  
  

Your Responsibilities

• Completing high-volume milk and fresh produce deliveries
  
  
• Making up to 350 drops per night
  
  
• Loading, handling and delivering products safely and efficiently
  
  
• Working to demanding delivery schedules
  
  
• Maintaining high productivity throughout the shift
  
  
• Providing a reliable and professional service to customers
  
  
• Completing vehicle checks
  
  

Requirements

• Aged 25 or over for insurance purposes
  
  
• Full, valid driving licence with no more than six penalty points
  
  
• Proven experience of prolonged night driving
  
  
• Direct milk delivery experience is highly desirable
  
  
• Physically capable of completing a demanding number of drops each night
  
  
• Comfortable working at pace throughout the shift
  
  
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work independently
