Transport Porter
Location: Erdington, Birmingham

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 16:00-00:00
Pay: between £13.54 to £18 per hour
We are looking for reliable, hardworking and physically fit Transport Porters to join our busy Transport. The role involves heavy lifting, loading and unloading vehicles, stacking and restacking goods, and moving products safely around the site. This is a physically demanding role suited to someone who is comfortable working on their feet throughout the night and can maintain high standards of safety, accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Carry out heavy lifting and manual handling of goods and products.
- Stack and restack pallets, cages, boxes and other goods as required.
- Move goods safely between the warehouse, transport areas and designated locations.
- Prepare loads for transportation, ensuring items are correctly positioned and secure.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Ensure goods are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Check that goods are placed in the correct locations and follow instructions from the Transport team.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Follow all manual handling, health and safety and site procedures.
- Report any damaged goods, operational issues or safety concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
- Able to repeatedly lift, carry, stack and restack goods.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
- Positive and flexible attitude towards work.
