We're recruiting for a leading organisation in the legal insurance space who are looking for an experienced Technical Claims Handler to join their growing Bristol team.

What you'll be doing:

• Handling a varied caseload of professional indemnity claims, from first notification through to resolution.
• Assessing cover, liability and quantum with accuracy and commercial awareness.
• Negotiating settlements within delegated authority.
• Managing panel solicitors and reporting to insurers where claims fall outside authority.
• Guiding insureds and brokers towards the best outcomes.
• Supporting colleagues with training and knowledge sharing.

What we're looking for:

• Solid technical claims experience, ideally in professional indemnity.
• Strong understanding of insurance law, compliance and regulation.
• Confident decision-maker with excellent communication skills.
• Organised, detail-driven, and able to prioritise effectively.
• Collaborative, client-focused, and commercially minded.
• Good IT skills, including case management systems.
