Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Property Manager

Location: Weston-super-Mare

Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (60-minute lunch break)

1 in 4 Saturdays, 9am - 1pm (No time off in lieu)


 Role Overview:

Our client, a well-established property management company, is looking for an experienced and proactive Assistant Property Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of properties. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of property management processes, including legal compliance, maintenance coordination, and team support. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with property management and leadership experience to join a growing, dynamic team.

 
Key Responsibilities:

 

    •  Manage and maintain an allocated portfolio of properties, ensuring all aspects of property management are running smoothly.


    •  Ensure full compliance with all relevant legal regulations and keep properties up to date with required standards.


    •  Act as a liaison between Landlords, Tenants, and Contractors, addressing property maintenance issues efficiently and resolving them promptly.


    •  Provide guidance and support to the team, assisting with day-to-day activities and training as necessary to ensure smooth operations.


    •  Prepare and present monthly reports on portfolio audits, growth, and operational performance.

    •  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling you to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.


    •  Strong ability to meet deadlines, handle tight turnarounds, and manage workloads efficiently under pressure.


    •  Self-sufficient work ethic with the capacity to manage your own priorities while ensuring team collaboration.


    •  A team player who is capable of stepping up to lead in the absence of the manager and providing support when needed.


    •  A practical approach to problem-solving and resolving property maintenance issues quickly and effectively.



     
 
Required Experience:

 

    •  At least 3 years of experience in property management, with a proven track record of managing property portfolios.


    •  1+ years of leadership experience, showcasing your ability to guide, mentor, and support a team.


    •  Ideally, qualified in Lettings and Property Management (Level 3 or higher) or have a similar relevant qualification.


    •  Solid knowledge of property compliance, legal regulations, and maintenance procedures.
