Working as part of the depot team, you will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of generators and associated equipment across the company's rental fleet, as well as customer-owned equipment.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining workshop and yard-based engineering duties with occasional customer site visits. You will also have the opportunity to develop your technical skills through ongoing training and career progression.

    • Assist with loading and unloading equipment within the yard.
    • Operate forklift trucks within the yard (training can be provided).
    • Deliver and collect generators and ancillary equipment using company vehicles, including refuelling where required.
    • Assist customers with running cables on-site when necessary.
    • Carry out site surveys for specialist projects.
    • Complete general yard and workshop maintenance, ensuring work areas remain clean, tidy and safe.
    • Participate in the company on-call rota, approximately one week in four.
    • Liaise with the Depot Foreman regarding equipment allocation, parts, oils and fuels.
    • Complete vehicle safety checks and follow all company health and safety procedures.

    • A mechanical or electrical engineering background is essential.
    • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
