We are exciting to be recruiting a Business Development Manager to work for a prestigious company based in Hagley in the West Midlands.

The main objective of the Business Development Manager is responsible for approaching potential customers with the aim of winning new business, as well as maintaining good relationships with existing clients.

The main duties will be:

" To identify opportunities for increasing margins
" To identify new business opportunities
" To maintain and enhance existing client relationships
" To listen to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale
" To maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
" To cold call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
" To respond to incoming emails and phone enquiries in a timely fashion
" To act as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
" To be able to negotiate the terms of an agreement and close a sales
" To gather market and customer information
" To represent the company at trade exhibitions and events
" To create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is in line with the company standards
" To be able to review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets
" To gain a clear understanding of customers' business and requirements
